The Best of Lowry: Top Restaurants 2019

Craving a dining experience but want to stay local? Lowry has been attracting original and Colorado-raised restaurants for over a decade.

Whether you want a fast-casual or elevated dining experience, Lowry offers a diverse lineup of choices. Here are our favorite Lowry restaurants boasting delicious food and delightful atmosphere.

Chop Shop

This fast-casual eatery got its start on East Colfax and was immediately a hit. After years of success, they opened their second location in Lowry’s Town Center.

Their menu ranges from traditional (smoked chicken pastrami) to adventurous (grilled achiote salmon with couscous). No matter which entree you choose, we recommend getting their crispy Brussels sprouts as a starter.

Woodgrain Bagel & Deli

Another fast-casual cafe, Woodgrain Bagel & Deli is a perfect breakfast and lunch spot. Woodgrain’s bagels are Montreal-style which are sweeter and denser than your average bagel.

While they have standard breakfast sandwiches, they also have skillets, avocado toast, poutine, and salads. Throughout the summer, they host “Pizza Nights” from 4-8 PM, Thursday through Saturday.

North Country

North Country is an eclectic Mexican restaurant serving up tacos, ceviche, and margaritas. Their sprawling patio and outdoor lounge areas make this the perfect after-work spot.

Try their Watermelon Agua Fresca Margarita and one of their three Baja fish taco options: traditional crispy beer-battered, saltwater, or freshwater. Vegetarian or vegan? They have four plant-based options.

Officers Club

For traditional American fare, head to Officers Club. Also equipped with a fabulous outdoor patio, Officers Club is best known for its Old Fashions. With 10 varieties (plus other cocktails), its a great place for date nights and family celebrations.

For food selections, you can’t go wrong with Rocky Mountain striped bass or homemade spaghetti with charred heirloom vegetables.

Officers Club is also open for weekend brunch.

Lowry Beer Garden

While you might not think Lowry Beer Garden as one of the best restaurants in Lowry, we love it. Their massive outdoor patio is perfect for large groups, featuring games and live music.

Besides their excellent selection of beers on top, they offer $7 brats and burgers, ranging from bison to beef to elk. If health-food is more your speed, they offer a wide selection of sandwiches and salads.

No matter which way you lean, order a giant pretzel (it arrives in a pizza box) to share with your table. It's their signature.
