Lowry has enough walking trails and tennis courts to keep the general public active and energized. However, if you have a love of yoga, HIIT classes, or swimming, you might want to explore and sign up for one of Lowry’s gyms!

While there are many fine fitness studios and gyms sprinkled throughout Denver, here are our favorites surrounding Lowry.

Cherry Creek Athletic Club

If you’re looking for a true health club, we can’t recommend Cherry Creek Athletic Club enough. Though technically in Glendale, it’s only a 5-minute drive from Boulevard One and Lowry Town Center.

CCAC was recently purchased by LifeTime and they’re making quite a few upgrades to the workout and lounge space. Some of the best features of the fitness club include:

  • Group fitness classes like Spin, BodyPump, Pilates, and Yoga

  • Full-sized basketball court

  • Outdoor and indoor lap pools

  • Outdoor splash pool

  • Men and women’s locker rooms with dry sauna, steam room, and whirlpools

CCAC also has members-only events and workshops, so it’s a great place to meet other fitness-oriented people.

YogaPod

If you enjoy yoga, head to YogaPod in Lowry. They have classic yoga classes mixed with other trendy and non-yoga options. Think aerial fitness yoga and PODbarre, a barre-based workout.

YogaPOD prides themselves on helping you become stronger and more flexible, while also promoting mindfulness and serenity. And since their motto is “Breath. Strength. Sweat.” you know you’ll get a well-rounded, challenging yoga class.

As of November 2019, they are offering 4 weeks of unlimited yoga for $40, so it’s a perfect time to check them out and see if yogaPOD is a good fit.

OrangeTheory Fitness

If you’re into the HIIT-style workouts that leave you gasping for air, OrangeTheory might be your new fitness studio.

OrangeTheory utilizes three types of movements to get your heart rate into the “orange zone.”

  • Running (or biking for low-impact)

  • Rowing

  • Weight lifting

While every workout is a bit different, you’ll always run, row, and lift, which make a well-rounded workout that will burn calories and make you stronger!

Plus, the fact that they’re a chain allows you to attend any OrangeTheory location. They have several across the Denver metro and hundreds throughout the USA.

These are just some of the gyms and studios in Lowry, Denver. The best way to find a new gym is to try them out while living local!
